Kirsten Ott, founder of Ott Consulting, is an experienced marketing professional and writer. She has an extensive background in general and direct marketing and has consulted in the online space for five years. She is the author of two major Internet research publications: Web Development Strategies and The 1997 America Online Report (both published by Jupiter Communications). She also writes articles on the market for new high-technology products and services.
Kirsten Ott's marketing background is both domestic and international, and includes executive positions with MasterCard International, Chemical Bank, and Claritas.
In 1995, Kirsten Ott founded Ott Consulting to help companies optimize their online channels. Ms. Ott has helped her clients develop a broader and deeper understanding of the online market for their products and services, and has created successful marketing strategies to address the potential inherent in the online environment. Her client list spans financial services, telecommunications, computing, retailing/e-commerce, and media/entertainment, and includes blue-chip companies such as IBM, FleetBoston Financial, Chubb & Son, Avon Products, and America Online.
Ms. Ott holds a B.A. from Barnard College and an MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
